Ralph L. Williams WATERLOO - Ralph L. Williams, 79, passed away Fri. (Nov. 12, 2010) at the VA Hospital in Canandaigua. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tues. (Nov.16) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will follow immediately following calling hours at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dale Andrews, from the Geneva Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 435 and the V.F.W Post 6433. Ralph was born July 5, 1931 in Mabscott, WV, and was a son of the late Homer and Annie (Choka) Williams. He moved to Ohio at the age of fourteen. Ralph served his country in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955 as a propeller specialist. He met his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Verna Atkinson, while stationed at the Sampson Air Force Base. They were married on Aug. 25, 1952. Although, in the service he was known by his comrades as 'Willy', his friends and family in Ohio knew him as 'John'. Ralph was employed as a line inspector for the Westinghouse Corporation in Columbus, OH, and retired in 1995. After retiring, he relocated to this area. Ralph enjoyed raising organic vegetables, fishing, Western movies and eating fish sandwiches. He is survived by his beloved wife, Verna E. (Atkinson) Williams of Waterloo; sons, Allen (Micah) Williams of Columbus, OH, and Steve Williams of Canandaigua; daughter, Diane Robenolt of Columbus, OH; brother, Terry (Carol) Williams of Columbus, OH; sister, Jean (Robert) Littman of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Nancy Williams of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Brandon and Chrystal Williams and several nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by brothers, Robert, David and William Williams. .
