Frank J. Blancke GENEVA - Frank J. Blancke, 55, had his last cup of coffee on Sat. (April 9, 2011) surrounded by his family and friends. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thurs. (April 14) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Fri. (April 15) at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Blancke family education fund, 407 Washington St. Geneva, NY 14456. Frank was born March 21, 1956, in Geneva. He had a great passion for playing music and making other people smile. His great love for people always captured the attention of everyone he came across. Frank's smile instantly lit up any room he would walk into, and his witty sense of humor made people feel at ease. Anyone who knew Frank, knew his cup of coffee was ALWAYS half full. His positive and upbeat character helped mold many people, both young and old. Frank worked at FLCC in connection with FLTV, as the program director for 17 years. He coordinated channel 12 and also supervised the Geneva and Canandaigua City Council meetings. His love for music made him a great bass player. Frank played in many bands including; 'Futures Past', 'Stages', 'Diamonds and Rust', and 'All God's Children'. In his spare time, he gave back to the community by being involved with youth and high school sports. Frank served as a board member for the Wrestling Boosters as well as President of Geneva youth football. He also enjoyed the Buffalo Bills, Syracuse University athletics, the New York Knicks and the New York Yankees. Frank was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to all! He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Regina (MacCheyne) Blancke of Geneva; sons, Josh, Kyle and Brandon Blancke, all of Geneva; daughters, Danielle (Ken) Favreau of Interlaken and Alexis Blancke of Geneva; brother, Tim Blancke of Geneva; sisters, Josephine (Mike) Russ and Lupe (Andrew) Guererri, all of Geneva; grandchildren, Corrissa and Alex Favreau. Frank is also remembered by his best friends, Rocky and Laska, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many supportive, loving friends. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Donald Blancke and Josephine Jasso-Blancke; daughter, Sierra Blancke and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Lena Bruno.
