William L. O'Neil GENEVA- William L. O'Neil, 73, passed away peacefully on Mon. (May 2, 2016), after a short battle with cancer, at the Homestead in Penn Yan. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (May 5), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Fri. (May 6), in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. William was born on May 31, 1942, in Geneva and was a son of the late Oscar and Ruth (Laws) O'Neil. He worked as a machinist for international Paper. William enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and was a huge New York Giants and New York Yankees fan. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. William was a member of the North Side Fire Dept. He is survived by his son, Robert Urbano of Geneva; daughter, Aimee (Ruben) Marin of Geneva; brothers, George O'Neil of Geneva and James (Sue) O'Neil of Newmanstown, PA; sister, Rebecca Malyj of Geneva; grandchildren, Jordan, Grady and Aiden Marin; several nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his wife, Frances O'Neil; parents, Oscar and Ruth (Laws) O'Neil; sisters, Mary Meaden and Marjorie Streppa.
