Rose Ann B. Ariniello GENEVA-Rose Ann B. Ariniello, 83, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side in Boulder, CO. Family and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am on Monday (Feb. 20) in St Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Geneva, NY. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends and loved ones to make a donation to Lewy Body Dementia Association to help fund much-needed research for Lewy Body Dementia. Rose Ann was born on May 6, 1933, in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of the late Nancy (Prestiani) and Philip Basile. Rose Ann graduated from Geneva High School and began working for the Geneva School District shortly thereafter. She worked for the Geneva School District for 42 years. In 1971, Rose Ann married the love of her life, Ralph Vincent Ariniello. The following year, they had their only daughter Katrina. In 1976 Rose Ann lost her husband suddenly to a heart attack and never remarried. Despite working full time, she was a consummate mother and homemaker. Rose Ann was dedicated to caring for her family throughout her life. She lovingly and wholeheartedly took on the role of caretaker. Rose Ann had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Francis DeSales Church in Geneva NY. During the last 5 years of her life at Fraiser Meadows in Colorado, she attended weekly mass faithfully. She enjoyed reading, following her beloved Yankees team, and kept up with all the latest news by reading both the Geneva and Rochester papers on a daily basis. Rose Ann is survived by her daughter Katrina (Steve) Hyman of Colorado; grandchildren Caitlin, Conor and Erin Browne, Zachary and Natalie Hyman; nephew Michael Basile. Rose Ann was predeceased by her husband Ralph Ariniello; siblings Diana Basile Ferlisi, Vincent Basile, Sam Basile, Carmella Basile Tandle, and Philip Basile.
