Philip James Beniamino LEESBURG, FLA/GENEVA- Philip James Beniamino, 70, passed away on Saturday (March 11, 2017), at the Leesburg Regional Hospital, with his family by his side. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday (March 24), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, 28 Genesee St. Geneva, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday (March 25), in St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Geneva, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please donate to www.theatre444.com . Phil was born on September 18, 1946, in Geneva and was a son of the late Salvatore and Gertrude (LeGrett) Beniamino. He served his country in the United States Army. Phil worked as a manager/supervisor for Pepsi, never missing a day of work and retired after 40 years. He was a coach for the Midlakes Screaming Eagles Vince Lombardi Football team in Phelps, where he was known as one of the "Blues Brothers/Killer B's" along with his brother Richard Beniamino. Phil enjoyed golfing, softball, volleyball, bowling, baseball and football. He was a diehard New York Giants and Yankees fan. Phil was known for screaming at the TV when his teams were losing. He always supported his children, never missing his son, Phil's athletic games and daughter, Pamela's theatrical productions. He married his sweetheart and loved her more the anything, with the exception of her meatballs and pies. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Angela Marie (DiCola) Beniamino of Leesburg, Fla., children, Pamela Marie Beniamino-Rapoza of Geneva and Philip Anthony and Denise Beniamino of GA.; brothers, Sam and Maryann Beniamino of Phelps and Richard and Bobbi Beniamino of Phelps; sister, Santa and Loren Couse of Phelps; grandchildren, Kylie and Rocco Beniamino of GA; a special little girl who he adored, Meghan Wagner; sisters-in-law, Helen Dicola of GA, Theresa Pealer of Penn Yan, Mary Ann Morbito of Charlotte, NC, Pauline and Randy Pealer of Fort Mills, SC; brothers-in-law, Ralph and Robin Dicola of Geneva, John and Ursula Beniamino of Geneva; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
