Deborah 'Myrtle' Sawin Deborah J. Sawin, 65, known to her family and friends as Myrtle, passed away peacefully Friday, March 17th, with her family at her side. Family and friends may call Saturday, March 25th, from 12:30 to 2pm followed by a funeral prayer service at 2pm at Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Donations can be made in her honor in lieu of flowers to Boys Town, at BoysTown.org or 402-498-1300. Deborah, a Navy veteran, retired from the Ontario County Records department in 2015 but also enjoyed knitting and working on her crafts. She also enjoyed old movies, getting lost on day-long road trips, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her granddaughter Abby. She was a giving soul, constantly helping everyone else, always putting herself behind someone else's needs. Her contagious smile, laughter, and huge heart will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 43 years Douglas, children Christina and Brian, granddaughter Abigail, brothers David and Gary, nieces, nephews and cousins. Debbie is predeceased by her parents Chuck and Gloria Wenz.
