GENEVA- Raymond B. Rood, 62, passed away on Sat. (March 25, 2017), at Clifton Springs Hospital. Family and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Sun. (April 9), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Military honors will be at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Raymond was born on Aug. 23, 1954 to the late Raymond and Thelma Rood. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Raymond had worked at Mueller Farms, delivered for the Democrat and Chronicle and retired from Seneca Foods in 2016. He was a member of the American Legion Post 396 in Geneva. Raymond had a passion for carpentry work and loved to garden and enjoy the outdoors.
He is survived by his companion, Karin Switzer and her children, Stephanie, Jeremy and Jennifer Switzer; sisters, Debbie (Victor) Maisonet and Mary (Joe) Huron; brothers, Thomas (Tina) Houck and Dale Rood; children, JD (Mandy) Jensen, Willie (Colleen) Rood, Raymond Rood, Jr., Adam Rood, Cassie (CJ) Hohn, Robert (Ashley) Rood, Jenna (Matthew) Gage and Julie Duffy; grandchildren, Caiden and Blake Switzer, Chad Rood, Elletra and Ivy Karlsen, Castiel and Bishop Hohn, Ethin and Alistair Rood, Dominic and Jordan Gage, Karter, Tyler, Hunter and Nashon Meyers.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Thelma Rood; brothers, Chuck Rood and Donnie Houck.
