Obituary of Irene M. Ciancaglini

Irena Mafalda Ciancaglini GENEVA- Irena Mafalda Ciancaglini, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (June 20, 2017), at Geneva General Hospital, with her loving family by her side. There will be no calling hours. Other services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Irena (Irene) was born on September 29, 1923 in Geneva, NY. She was the daughter of the late Domonico and Maria (Lisi) Ciancaglini and resided in Geneva her entire life. Before her marriage, she was employed at the Seneca Army Depot, the A&P and the Montgomery Ward company. Irene will be most remembered to the many Geneva School System students as the "kind lunch lady" where she spent many years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and was selfless throughout her entire life. She is survived by her sister, Alice Lisi; her 5 children, Joanne (Joe) Mayer of Sheboygan, WI, MaryAlice (Gordy) Wheeler of Geneva, Raymond (Patti) Ciancaglini of Romulus, Dominic (Linda) Ciancaglini of Penn Yan and Peter (Ruth) Ciancaglini of Victor. Irene loved her 9 grandchildren and adored her 10 great-grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Angelo M. Ciancaglini; sister, Helen Leavitt; brothers, Vincent Lisi and Peter Lisi and an infant daughter, Ruth Ann.
