Susan "Sue" Pronti GENEVA-Susan "Sue" Pronti, 90, passed away peacefully on Sat. (Sept. 9, 2017) at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Fri. (Sept. 15) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Francis De Sales Church. Interment will be private. Contributions in Sue's memory may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or the charity of one's choice. Sue was born on March 22, 1927 in Geneva and was the daughter of the late Maria (Gilliotti) and Annibale Davoli. She attended Geneva High School and went to work at Sterns Nursery to help support the family during WWII. Sue also later became a licensed beautician. She had been married to Angelo "Sonny" Pronti, who died in 1987. Sue was a faithful member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and the Geneva Lodge Sons of Italy, where she enjoyed playing bingo. She was an excellent baker, cook and was an expert at crocheting afghans that she shared with her family and friends. She had an inner and outer beauty which connected with everyone who met her. Sue loved attending parades, festivals, musical events at Seneca Lake and The Smith Opera House, which she supported by purchasing bricks honoring her family and Torrey Park. Sue is survived by her son Joseph F. (Barbara) Pronti of Long Island; daughter Carol Pronti of Geneva; sisters Antonia "Tana" Campbell and Vivian (Anthony) Guidice; sisters-in-law Margaret Davoli, Pauline Davoli and Louise Davoli; grandchildren Michele (Timothy) DeYoung, Laura (Steven) Zabo and Joseph A. Pronti; great grandchildren Alexandra DeYoung, Joseph N. Pronti, Steven Robert Zabo and Andrew Roman; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Beryl Ann Pronti, Thomas Dooner and Patricia Dooner. Sue was predeceased by 6 sisters Jane McCollum, Nancy Bonnell, Kathryn Ruffalo, Teresa DiFederico, Rose Brown and Anna Colizzi; 3 brothers Dominick "Micky" Davoli, Joseph Davoli and Frank Davoli. The family would like to thank the staff at Geneva General Hospital for their loving care.
