WATERLOO- Maureen Scala, 66, passed away peacefully on Sat. (Sept. 16, 2017), at home. Family and friends may call from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wed. (Sept. 20), in the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva followed by a prayer service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be Thurs. (Sept. 21) at 9:30 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Geneva.

Maureen was born on May 7, 1951, in Hawley, PA and was the daughter of the late Cecelia (McCabe) and James McAndrew. She graduated from Wallenpaupack High School in Hawley, PA and worked for Finger Lakes Health in Geneva. Maureen loved her family, pets and online shopping. She was an avid reader, talented in her crafts and cooking.

Maureen is survived by her husband James Scala of Waterloo; children Ashley (Joshua) Emerson of Waterloo, Marlo (Robert) Sanfilippo of Otisville, NY and James (Michele Vollmer) Scala, Jr of Auburn, NY; siblings Darlene Davis of Otisville, NY, James McAndrew of FL, Edward McAndrew of Hawley, PA and Ceil Baldwin of TX; grandchildren Ayriana Emerson, Alanna Breitenfeld, Bergen Breitenfeld and Cole Sanfilippo.
