Vince introduced me to his memory of Lonesome Larry on the radio (WGVA, I think) by singing Larry's signature tune. My first day as a homeowner, he showed me how to patch a sewer pipe hole with about $3 of materials - still holding 24 years later! He never tried to sell more than what anyone needed. Vince was a great guy.

I still miss Church's hardware store, mostly because I could count on a friendly greeting, a story, a joke from Vince and Vincent.
