Edith "Edie" V. Greene WATERLOO- Edith (Balistreri) Greene passed away on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) with her family at her side. Family and friends may call from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday (April 10) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. Her prayer service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday (May 9) at 3:00 pm at The Moose Lodge, 453 Waterloo Geneva Road, Waterloo, NY. Edie was born on March 1, 1945 and was a daughter of the late Leo and Edith (Calabrese) Balistreri. She was married to the love of her life Robert Greene for 59 years. Her family meant everything to her and she meant everything to them. Her homemade Sunday meals, laughter and family weekly games will be sadly missed. Edie always made sure her husband, kids and grandkids were always well feed with all of her homemade Italian cookies, sauce, meatballs and pasta. She had many extended family and friends who treasured her dearly. Edie was a member of St. Mary's catholic church in Waterloo. She worked at Sylvana, babysat for neighborhood kids for a lot of years and then was employed at Seneca County as a home health aide. Edie and Bob enjoyed their casino trips. She is survived by her devoted husband Bob; children Denice, Debbie (Tim Tolbert) and Bobby (Kim Excell); grandchildren Justin (Erika), Jaylynn, Miley, Avery, Cooper and Noah; great Grandchildren Isaac, Michael and Gwen and sister Carol Akens. She was predeceased by her parents, baby brother Frankie, in-laws Mary and George, brother in-law Ron. In lieu of flowers please donate to St Jude's Children's hospital or your favorite charity.
