WATERLOO- Joseph "Unc" I. Russell, 74, passed away peacefully on Sun. (July 16, 2023), at home. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thurs. (July 20), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Joseph was born on Nov. 23, 1948, in Corning, NY and was a son of Joseph and Helen Martha (Gale) Russell. He worked for Finger Lakes Ambulance and GW Lisk. Joe enjoyed baseball and coached Little League and Senior League baseball in Geneva and Waterloo for 35 years. He was an avid bowler and loved the Yankees, watching the Little League World Series, playing Euchre and watching his cowboy movies. Joe cherished his family and treated his nephews like his own sons.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph (Aubrey) Russell of Waterloo and Brian (Sarah) Russell of Bloomington, IN; sister, Rosalyn Cohen of Canton, NY; grandchildren, Kody Russell, AnnMarie Russell, Marissa Russell, Nicholas Russell, Madison Russell and Silas Russell; several nieces and nephews.

Joseph was predeceased by his brother, Nicky Senkulics; sisters, Linda Pollino, Beverly Price, Patricia Horton and Diana Kennerson.
