GENEVA- Edith K. Janke, 71, passed away peacefully on Wed. (Jan. 3, 2024), at Geneva General Hospital. In honoring her wishes, services will be private.
Edith was born on Dec. 14, 1952, and was a daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Bailey) Calabrese. She worked as a nurse supervisor for many years. Edith liked to play the slot machines and pull tabs. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel P. Janke of Geneva; daughters, Jamie Paone of Waterloo and Jennifer (Michael) Lowrey of Canandaigua; step-children, Michael Janke of Manchester and Shauna Janke of Waterloo; brothers, Donny (Stephanie) Calabrese of Geneva, Tony (Kathy) Calabrese of PA and Carmen Calabrese of Geneva; sisters, Donna (Andy) Bergin of Seneca Falls, Mary (Greg) Atkinson of Auburn and Lynn Calabrese of Victor; grandchildren, Alexa and Ariana Mitchel, Jaylee and Jonah Paone, Brandon Lowrey, Bianca (Michael) Deal and Gianni Lowrey; step-grandchildren, Kara Lowrey, Kaitlyn Cornelius, Dillon Janke and Brennon Janke; great-grandchild, Alivia Briggs and cat, Oliver.
