Helen Marino Fountain GENEVA- Helen Fountain, 90, passed away peacefully on Sun. (Jan. 26, 2025), at the Geneva Living Center North. In Honoring her wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sat. (Feb. 1), in St. Francis De Sales Church, Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ontario Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva, NY 14456 in Helen's memory. Helen was born on Sept. 1, 1934, in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria (Galasso) Marino. She graduated from Geneva High School, where she excelled in sports. She carried that competitive passion and love for sports throughout her life. Helen traveled the world with her military family, returning to Geneva in 1972. She worked as an insurance adjustor at many locations as she traveled with her family, retiring from Henry Shepard Smith Insurance Agency. Helen enjoyed working as a teachers Aid at the North Street School in Geneva. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Barbara) Fountain of FL., Michael (Teri) Fountain of NC, Thomas (Rebecca) Fountain of Victor, NY, Diana Modera of Geneva, NY and Patrick Fountain of VA; sister, Flora Goldstone of Vestal, NY; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Mario, Harold (Leta), Evasio "Fuzzy" (Olga), Stanislaus (Marilyn) Marino, brother-in-law, Eugene Goldstone, and several nieces and nephews.
