Geneva - Rita Mehlenbacher, 95, of S. Optical Street, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025 surrounded by family at Geneva Living Center North.

Friends may call at Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, Genesee Street, on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 from 4pm until 6pm, with a service immediately following at 6pm.

Rita spent her time serving her family and her home, and always cherished when her grandchildren came to visit.

Born in Wayland, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Wilhelmina Mehlenbacher.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Pennie and son Jim (Sue), companion Carmen Liberatore, grandchildren Brittany (Brian Murphy) Russ, Joshua (Megan) Russ, Jessica (Mark Kube) Blood, Robert (Paige Dahl) Jensen, Derek Mehlenbacher and Zach Cutlip, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of almost 64 years, Ramon Mehlenbacher, and her daughter Vickie.
