Delmarius "DayDay" Jackson
GENEVA- Delmarius "DayDay" Jackson, 26, passed into the Arms of His Lord Savior suddenly Wed., March 19, 2025, in Cooperstown. Family and friends may call from 9 am to 10:30 am on Thursday, March 27, at St. Paul's Full Gospel Baptist church, 76 East North Street, Geneva. His funeral service will follow in the church. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery.
DayDay was born October 6, 1998 in Geneva, NY and was a son of Dell L. and Sonya Aikens Jackson. He loved being outdoors enjoying activities like rock climbing, hiking, jet skiing and snowboarding. He also loved to fish. In 2016, he graduated from Geneva High School where he was an All-Star athlete in football, basketball with a deep passion for baseball. He then attended University of Nevada Las Vegas with interest in Theater and Creative writing. He became a gourmet chef while attending UNLV where he showcased his love for food and cooking at various restaurants and casinos. His passion for comradery and leadership led him to become the President of his Fraternity, PI Kappa Alpha.
He later returned home to Geneva and worked for Amazon. Prior to his passing he was employed at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY where he was known for his beautiful spirit and compassion for people. Day- Day's interest in writing later developed into a passion for creating music. He was excited to share his perspective of the world with clever lyrics to positively engage hearts and minds and inspire people to recognize their power to be exactly who they want to be. His determination to be great and take care of his family is how he would want to be remembered.
He is survived by his parents; loving girlfriend of 4 ½ years Rosalind Loudon; brothers Akia Jackson, Jaheim Jackson and Cornell Jackson; grandfather Howard J. Aikens; sisters Tatianna Jackson and Corrine Jackson; aunts Wanda (Stephen) White, Cassandra (Defanso) Nathan, Sr, Juanita (Daryl) Sims, Edith Wormley, Ami (Carlos) Poveda, Diane Harris, Dorise Jackson, Marilyn Jackson, and Judith Jackson; uncles Hasan Baar and Barry Corley.
DayDay is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Theodore Jackson and Doris Corley; maternal grandmother Ida M. (Sapp) Aikens; aunts and uncles.
