Tomesha L Joyce Coleman-Mckay (Meka) passed away at home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with Cancer on Friday May 30,2025. Family and friends may call from 9:30 am to 11 am at Mt Calvary COGIC, 21 Milton Street, Geneva. A funeral service will follow at the Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Tomesha was born May 11,1978, in Geneva, New York. Tomesha was the daughter of Thomas P Coleman Sr and Mary Janine Simpson. Tomesha attended Geneva High School. She worked at Geneva General Hospital in Nutritional Service before leaving to work as a Nursing Assistant at Elm Manor in Canandaigua, NY. She took a few months away from work to spend more time with her children. Tomesha in 2005 took a position as a Nursing Assistant at Canandaigua VA Medical Center where she was employed for 18 years. She was a caring and loving nursing assistant. Tomesha had a wonderful working relationship with her Nurse Manager Shari Devito (Boss Lady) and coworkers on 7A. Boss Lady as Tomesha called her and her co-workers stayed in close contact and visited often through Tomesha's Cancer journey. She was very passionate about the care she provided for the Veterans. Tomesha retired in February of 2023 due to Cancer.

Devoted and loving mother as well and grandmother. Tomesha loved spending time with her family. She loved traveling to Virginia to spend time with her sister Tashonda and the rest of the Virginia family. Those who knew Tomesha, new she was a kind and quiet woman with a beautiful smile. Her granddaughter Mah'dasty was the light of her eye. Tomesha was a big daddy's girl who felt her dad could do anything.

Tomesha loved basketball and was a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. She loved shopping as well as shopping online. She loved cooking on the grill or better yet supervising the person on the grill. She would always be willing to make the side dishes and tell you how to cook on the grill.

Tomesha is survived by her husband Melvin McKay Jr, father Thomas (Jacqueline-Momma J) Coleman Sr, mother Mary Simpson; bonus mother Patrica Crawley; her two children: Travon Wilson, Ty'Janey Whitfield, two stepchildren: Melvin(April) Mckay III and Latavia Mckay: granddaughter Mah'dasty Coleman (Fancy) and 9 step grandchildren; her bonus children Mia Rivas(Snuggle Bunny) and Nelson Mateo Jr; her brothers: Kiwaun (Brandy) Harris, Thomas Woods, Thomas P Coleman Jr, Jahmon Coleman,, and Joseph Dicampli; her sisters Ebony Crawley, Christina Dicampli and Shanice Coleman; her grandfather Thomas Armstrong(Grampy) and maternal grandfather Robert Carter; her bonus Sisters: Toshia Steels and Tashonda Johns(Sha): Mother in law Diane (Charles)Blakey; God-daughter Aisha Malave; God-siblings: Kendrick Kemp, Abrianna Wells, and Asia Alexander and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
