Marie C. Combs

GENEVA- Marie C. Combs, 88, passed away peacefully on Tues. (July 1, 2025) at her home surrounded by her loving family. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Mon. (July 7) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral home LLC, 28 Genesee Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tues. (July 8) at St. Francis De Sales Church, 150 Exchange Street, Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum.

Marie was born on July 15, 1936 in Geneva, NY and was a daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Morabito) Giardino. She retired from JC Penney's as a catalog Manager. Marie loved to cook and entertain. She was a woman who loved anyone that walked through her door. Her smile lit up the room when her family came to visit, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, instantly offering them something from her kitchen. Marie showed her love and support through her home cooked meals, creating and instilling holiday traditions, Sunday dinners, cooking and baking with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her children Mary (Thomas) Gifkins, Michael (Brenda Moskal) Combs, JoAnn (Robert) Greco, Deborah (Joseph) Ralston and David Combs; grandchildren Danielle (Christopher) Dutcher, Shannon (Michael) Fults, Robert Greco, Jr., Samuel Barrett, Alexis Teed, Angela (Benjamin) Eklund and Kaitlyn Combs; great grandchildren Quinn, Delaney, Taryn, Michael, Colin, Ardyn and Layla; brothers Anthony Giardino and Dominic (Donna) Giardino; sister-in-law Anna Marie Giardino.

Marie is predeceased by her husband Arden Combs; sister Kay Aponte; brothers Patsy, Frank, and Fr. Andrew (Uncle Joe) Giardino; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Rose Marie and Patricia Giardino, Olive (Merritt) Lovelette and Shirley (Norman) Wallace.

The family would like to thank her home health aides, who also became her friends, for the love and care they gave her.
