Mark Peter Waranis

THENDARA-Mark Peter Waranis, age 71, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Oneida Health Hospital of Oneida, NY surrounded by his family. Friends may call from 4 to 5 pm Friday (August 8) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. His funeral service will follow at 5 pm at the funeral home.

Mark was born on December 23, 1953, in Huntington, NY and was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Karp) Waranis. He spent his career as a dental lab owner and technician of Hygienic Porcelain Studios, Inc., Thendara, NY. In his youth, Mark sang in the St. Killian's Boys' Choir and performed at the World's Fair. Mark was an avid woodworker and created many beautiful pieces. He was a meticulous craftsman and artist at heart. He enjoyed nature, hiking, skiing, and gardening. Most of all, Mark loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Laurie (Daykin) Waranis; daughter Kiera (Justin) Mclaughlin; son Terren (Lauren) Waranis; grandchildren Maslin Lena, Finnigan Andrew and Sylvia Mae Mclaughlin and mother-in-law Eleanor S. Steams.

Mark is predeceased by his parents and sister Christine (Waranis) Teleisha.
