Cynthia M. (Quartaro) Amidon

GENEVA-Cynthia M. Amidon, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday (August 28, 2025) at Clifton Springs Hospital with her family at her side. Family and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm on Wednesday (September 3) at St Francis De Sales Church, 130 Exchange Street, Geneva, NY.

Contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice 756 Pre Emption Rd., Geneva, NY in Cindy's memory.

Cindy was born on November 4, 1959 in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of Angela (Plcito) Quartaro and the late Dominick J. Quartaro. She was a 1977 graduate of Geneva High School. Cindy went on to Slippery Rock University, PA and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Recreational Therapy. After college, she worked at Newark DDSO as a therapist until she retired. After retirement, Cindy enjoyed spending time at the Rod and Gun Club on Seneca Lake. She enjoyed card games especially euchre. Cindy was an avid football fan. She would call penalties before the referees saw them. Go Buffalo Bills!

She is survived by her mother Angela M. Quartaro; brother Scott (Bianca) Quartaro; sister-in-law Deborah Quartaro; nieces and nephews Anthony (Kayla) Quartaro, Eric Quartaro, Miranda, Alicia and Dominick (Jeylin) Quartaro; Aunt Beverly Fabrizo; Uncle Kenny (Iris) Goodman; great nieces, nephews Natalie, Leo and Lucille Quartaro and cousins that loved her so much.

Cindy was predeceased by her father Dominick J. Quartaro; husband Keith A. Amidon; brother Steve J. Quartaro; maternal grandparents Rose (Felice) and George Goodman; paternal grandparents Dominick and Carmella (Paculi) Quartaro; aunt Marie McGory; uncle Fran Fabrizo; cousin Frank Constantine and her beloved dog Maddie.
