Pasquale Francis Matriscino, Jr
GENEVA- Pasquale F. Matriscino, Jr, 85, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday (November 8, 2025) In honoring his wishes, there will be no calling hrs. or service.
Pasquale was born on December 10, 1939 in Conneaut, Ohio and was the only child of Betty (Green) Matriscino Elston and Pasquale F. Matriscino, Sr. He was a United States Army Veteran. Pasquale worked 30+ years at the Seneca Army Depo as a special weapons inspector. He even created the logo/emblem for the depot. Pasquale was an amazing artist and owned his own studio, Shorebird Studio. Pasquale loved his family; his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Ocean City, MD was his favorite place to be. He enjoyed many vacations with his family and grandchildren. The tradition still lives on, going to Ocean City, MD every year. Everyone he met became a family friend. His GI friends and families at the Seneca Army Depot were welcomed by Pat and Shirley at their home and became more like family and were still in contact today. His smile would light up a room. He was a friend to everyone, and he treated them as family. Pasquale had such talent, compassion and wisdom. A huge memory that always sticks with me is whenever I would ask about his opinion on something for example if I had done the right thing …he would say "Sharon.. the person you need to live with and be ok with is you .. be true to yourself .. so if you can look at yourself in the mirror and you like what you see at the end of the day when you lay your head on your pillow you can sleep well knowing you did the right thing". Someone once said to me how beautiful it is that you will all have some of your fathers best memories on your wall and with you forever. His paintings, love and memories hang on so many walls in countless homes and ornaments on so many Christmas trees. We will always have a piece of him an Original "Matriscino "what a blessing!". He will be missed more than words can express… I certainly know that car rides will never be the same without "and away we go!" Rest easy daddy we will all carry on your legacy of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you!!! As you lived that with such heart. You're now with mom and family please hug them all from us and teach my boy how to paint for me… Thank you for showing us all how to live in truth and kindness and leave a legacy of a life well lived!!!
Pasquale is survived by his daughters Sharon (Jim Clarke) Matriscino Years and Maria (Jason) Matriscino Trowbridge; grandchildren Mia Trowbridge, Mark Patrick Years and Shelby Years; their father Mark K. Years; sister-in-law Geraldine Pollino; other daughter and special niece Julie (Pollino) Towner, niece Tammy (Pollino) Boyce; nephew Anthony Pollino; a special friend, caregiver truly more like a family member for Pasquale and other family members, Brian Millis.
