Pauline Catherine (Nee Safrit) Calabrese

FAIRPORT- passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, January 15, at the Palmisano Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A service will follow the calling hours at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620.

Pauline was born, and grew up in Concord, NC. While on vacation to Carolina Beach in 1952, she met the love of her life, James Calabrese, who was on a leave from the U.S. Army. They married in 1954 and had a daughter Jammie in 1955. After living in Geneva, NY they eventually settled in Rochester. Pauline loved coffee, traveling, casinos and enjoying time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Jammie (Bill) Katerle; grandchildren April (Kevin) Bischoping, James (Sarah) Katerle, Laura (Mike) Wynne; great grandchildren Gabriel, Aaron, Autumn (Abe), Anthony, Felicity, Ethan. Liam, Cameron, Gianna, Justus, Madeleine, Vanessa, Kennedy and Giovanni; great great grandchild Zane; sister Carolyn Fink of NC; sisters-in-law Shirley Safrit of NC and Antoinette Edgar; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pauline is predeceased by her dear husband James Calabrese.
