GENEVA - Carolyn Jean (Tarantelli) Wilson, 79, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026 at home with her daughter and sister by her side. Family and friends may call Monday, Feb. 2 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Church, 48 Pulteney Street, Geneva. Burial will follow her Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Carolyn was born in Geneva, NY on October 11, 1946 and was a daughter of the late Orlando and Mary (De John) Tarantelli. She graduated from De Sales High School in 1964, and from the Registered Nursing program at Albany Medical Center in the fall of 1967. Carolyn started her 44 year career as a nurse at Sanford University Hospital, CA. She was a cherished member of the nursing team at the VA Hospital in Memphis, and finished her career at Geneva General Hospital, serving the Geneva Community for nearly 30 consecutive years.


She is survived by her daughter Dove Russo, formerly known as Christina Wilson, and daughter's partner Brett "Blizzard" Kingery; sister Shirley (Tarantelli) Albano; sister-in-law Betty Ann Tarantelli; sister-in-law Barbara King; several nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews, who lovingly knew her as "Extra-Grammie;" and grand puppies Zoey "Underfoot" Russo, Destroyer of All Things, and Malcolm "I Aim to Misbehave" Reynolds.


Carolyn is predeceased by her brother Robert Tarantelli and brother-in-law Peter Albano.
