Dear Josie, Ben and Christopher- Benji was my mother's first cousin. My Mom was Cathie Zappia Eaton, and she and my Dad, Tom, loved you and Benji so very much. I have such vivid memories from our annual summer trips to Newark from Long Island in August. My brother and sister, Tommy and Janie, and I would take the 8 hour car ride and it was the highlight of our year. We stayed in Newark with our Nana and Grandpa Zappia, and visited with Nana's family - our family, the Mittiga's. My earliest memories are of Beni's brilliant white smile, his warmth, laughter, and genuine joy and charm at seeing us! No one ever made my mother (and Aunt Mary Jane) laugh as much as Benji! It was such a joy to see them interact as close cousins. And, within a short time, Josie, you were with him, and the two of you shone like movie stars in my eyes! You were beautiful together and so very much in love. It is a sign of a life well lived by Benji to leave such a legacy of family love and devotion, which I know he bestowed on each of you and your beautiful extended family. Please know of the love of the Eaton's - Tom, Jane and me. We have you all in our thoughts and prayers, and I know Benji is in heaven with his mother, father, brothers and the rest of the family, telling his jokes and sharing his beautiful shining self. Dear Josie, Benjamin, and Christopher, In Loving Memory of Benji: Benji’s exceptional craftsmanship, gentle warmth, kind spirit, and that unmistakable smile will forever remain our fondest memories of him. Growing up, we always looked forward to seeing Benji each summer in Newark while visiting our Nana Zappia. His funny stories and infectious laughter would light up the entire house. To our Mom, he was her favorite cousin, she beamed with pride around him, and no one could make her laugh quite like Benji did.
