In Loving Memory of Nicholas A. Brinson
September 10, 1987 – March 15, 2026
GENEVA-Nicholas A. Brinson, 38, passed onto the Arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday (March 15, 2026) at Geneva General Hospital. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, March 28, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Clark Street, Geneva, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Church.
On September 10, 1987, Nicholas A. Brinson was born in Rochester, New York, to Roxanne Brinson-Troiano and Nicholas Troiano. On March 15, 2026, Nicholas departed this life, leaving behind a legacy defined by strength, determination, and deep love for his family.
Affectionately known as "Nick," and later as "The Machine Gun Brinson," he was recognized for his quick feet and fast hands—natural talents that led him to begin boxing at the age of 12. What started as skill quickly became passion, and that passion shaped the course of his life. In 2006, Nick reached a major milestone by winning the U.S. National Golden Gloves Championship. He went on to compete professionally from 2008 to 2019, earning an impressive record of 19 wins, 5 losses, and 2 draws, including 9 victories by knockout. Boxing was more than a sport to Nick—it was a part of who he was, and a love he always hoped to return to.
Nick was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents: Rose Brinson, Thomas Brinson, Arline Troiano, and Nicholas Troiano.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Roxanne Brinson-Troiano and Nicholas Troiano; his three beautiful children, Ava'Leigh Rose Brinson (12), Zaidyn Amir Brinson (5), and Zakari Amil Brinson (5), who were the light of his life; his brother, Tony Brinson; his nephew, Latrell Brinson; his niece, Gabrielle Brinson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who loved him deeply.
Nick will be remembered for his fighting spirit—both inside and outside the ring—his unwavering love for his family, and the powerful presence he carried wherever he went. His legacy will continue to live on through his children and in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.
