Daniel Thomas

Daniel Thomas passed into the Arms of his Lord and Savior on his 69th birthday Saturday (May 2, 2026). Family and friends may call from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday (May 16) at Abundant Grace Pentecostal Church, 18 Snell Road, Geneva, NY 14456. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery.

Daniel was born on May 2, 1957 in Geneva, NY. He was the son of Grady Woody Jr and Dorothy "Dottie" Eldridge Williams, and stepson of the late Welton Eldridge Jr.

A proud Army veteran whose military service was cut short by injury, he devoted his life to serving both God and his community with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith. Following his time in the U.S. Armed Forces, Daniel returned to Geneva to pursue a degree at both RIT and Monroe Community College. Afterwards, he worked as a school monitor for the Geneva City School District, drove for Greyhound, and later became a bus driver for the Starpoint Central School District, where his kindness touched many lives. A lifelong minister and faithful servant of the Lord, Daniel was known for sharing the Gospel everywhere he went and for being an avid drummer. Whether encouraging a stranger, praying with someone in need, or reminding others to trust God through difficult times, he lived his faith boldly and wholeheartedly.

While his sudden passing leaves a tremendous void, his family finds comfort in knowing he is resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord whom he faithfully served throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 43 yrs Catherine Thomas;7 children; 5 grandchildren; 9 siblings and a host of other family members.
