Javiel Vega

GENEVA- Javiel Vega, 39, passed away on Fri. (Sept. 22, 2017), at Unity Hospital in Rochester. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Fri. (Sept. 29), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Graveside services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Sat. (Sept. 30), in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Javiel was born on Dec. 1, 1977, in Atlantic City, NJ and was a son of Lino Vega and Marta I. Torres. He worked as a phlebotomist for Geneva General Hospital and Clifton Springs Hospital and recently worked for the Center for Disability Rights in Geneva. Javiel was a hard worker who held many jobs. He was also employed by Seneca Foods and Colonial Laundromat. Javiel loved music, cooking and the outdoors. He was the life of the party.

He is survived by his mother, Marta I. Torres of Geneva; father, Lino Vega of PA; brothers, Lino (Angela) Vega of Newark, Jesus Nogueras of Geneva and Hector De Almas of NJ; special nephew, Lino Vega, Jr. of Geneva; nephew, Emmanuel Nogueras; niece, Giselle De Almas; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
