GENEVA- Jeanne Legott, 70, passed away peacefully on Sat. (June 16, 2018) at Clifton Springs Hospital. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wed. (June 20), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thurs. (June 21) in St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Jeanne was born on August 2, 1947 in Geneva, and was a daughter of the late James and Eileen (McGarry) Legott. She was a graduate of De Sales High School and the College of Mt. Vincent in New York. Jeanne worked in the family restaurant business all of her life. She founded and operated Abigails Restaurant in Waterloo for 35 years. Jeanne was loved and respected by her employees and her customers. She adored her grandchildren; they were the love of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" (Todd Mahoney) Comatis of Geneva; grandchildren Nicholas, Alyssa and Emily Comatis; her best friend and soul mate, Columbus Marshall Grady; sisters Patricia Knifley and Barbara (Jack) Shaughnessy; brothers James Legott (her twin) and William (Lori) Legott and several nieces and nephews. Jeanne was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Legott.
