She was a graduate of Gloversville High School and State University of New York at Albany where she achieved her Bachelor of Arts in English Education. It was there she also met Tom. After teaching in Gloversville, Kathryn put her career on hold to raise their four children. They lived briefly in Central Square, NY before settling in Hilton, NY in 1969. While raising the kids Kathryn also worked at Marple Furniture, the Greece Police Department, and as a teacher's aide in the Hilton School District. Kathryn was a constant presence at plays, band concerts, and sporting events in support of her children. She was a great cook, and big Italian family meals were a regular occurrence, especially around the holidays. When not feeding or shuttling kids to activities, free time would often find her and Tom playing bridge, pinochle, or other games with friends. Kathryn and Tom retired to the Polo Park community outside of Orlando, FL, in 1992. She remained active as a volunteer supporting Orlando World Cup 1994 and St. Faustina Catholic Church where she was a lector and Eucharistic minister. She treasured visits with her children and expanding brood of grandchildren. After Tom's passing in 2011 she returned to Greece, NY, where she lived in the Georgetown Community and made fast friends with many of the other residents. She enjoyed her time there and the great friends she made.
