Vincent F. Severino HOPEWELL- Vincent F. Severino, 88, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (Oct. 6, 2016), at home and with his loving family by his side. Family and friends may call from 3 pm to 7 pm on Sunday (Oct. 9, 2016), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday (Oct. 10, 2016), at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Ontario -Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva, NY 14456. Vincent was born on Aug. 20, 1928, in Rochester and was the son of the late Samuel and Angelina (Balistreri) Severino. He owned and operated the Phelps Quickway Laundromat, and "The Little Store" in Hopewell Center. Vincent was a hard and dedicated worker, holding many jobs. He worked at International Paper, Purdy Express as a Truck Driver, Mobil Chemical Corp. as a foreman, and was a school bus driver. While driving bus, he was the first driver to install a radio on his bus. Vincent was a life member of the Hopewell Fire Dept. and the Sons of Italy Geneva Lodge # 2397. Vincent very much enjoyed being with his loving family. He is survived by his sons, Ronald S. Severino of Hopewell and Bryan V. Severino of Canandaigua; daughter, Karen A. Severino of MD; grandchildren, Andrea, Keri, Karoline, Jeff and Matt; great grandsons Travis and Hudson; grand-dog, Bear and dedicated health care aide, Nancy Potter. Vincent was predeceased by his wife, Lucille (Patti) Severino in 1987; son, James R. Severino in 1959 and sister, Eunice Goldstone.
