Obituary of Carrie Williams

Carrie Williams GENEVA- Mother Carrie Williams, 86, passed away peacefully into the Arms of the Lord on Sun. (Jan. 15, 2017), at Geneva General Hospital with her loving family by her side. Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (Jan. 19), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Fri. (Jan. 20), at St. Paul Full Gospel Baptist Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mother Carrie Williams name to the Roger Williams Memorial Scholarship c/o AAMA P.O. Box 98 Geneva, NY 14456. Mother Williams was born on Oct. 29, 1930, in Sanford, Fla. and was a daughter of Eldora Brooks. She was a longtime member of the St. Paul Full Gospel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for years. Mother Williams loved attending Sunday School and Bible Study. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, camping, fishing, cooking and especially spending time with her loving family. She volunteered for many years at the Center of Concern in Geneva. Mother Williams is survived by her sons, Charlie (Mary Louise) Williams, Jr. of Rochester, Donald J. Williams of Bronx, Ronnie D. Stokes of Houston, TX and Ted Williams of Syracuse; daughters, Gwendolyn (Lee) Collins of Geneva and Lillian Collins of Geneva; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Williams of Geneva; sister, Annie O'Neil of Sanford, Fla.; brothers, James (Almeta) Stokes of Landover, MD, Richard (Mary) Stokes of Coatesville, PA and Mitchell (Patricia) Stokes of Sanford, Fla; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie Williams, Sr.; daughter, Barbara Johnson; son, Roger Williams; five brothers and five sisters.
