Obituary of Beverly J. Skinner

Beverly J. Morlang-Skinner GENEVA- Beverly J. Morlang-Skinner, 80, passed away peacefully on Tues. (March 28, 2017), at the Pathway Home, surrounded by her family. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sat. (April 1), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo. Contributions may be directed to the Pathway Home, P.O. Beverly was born on Jan. 15, 1937, and was a daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (Swartwood) Morlang. She worked for 23 years managing the kitchen at Big Oak Golf Course. Beverly was an avid golfer and was the Big Oak Golf Course club champion for 10 years. She was a gentle kindred soul who loved reading, animals and developed a likeness for soap operas. She is survived by her longtime partner, Jack Legott of Geneva; sisters, Janice Laquitara of Geneva and Catherine Bertino of Waterloo; niece, Kellee (Frank) Passante of Saugerties, NY; nephews, Aaron (Linda) Laquitara of Geneva, James Laquitara of Geneva and Brian Morrin of Boise, ID; great-nephews, Alexander Laquitara of Albany, Ryon Morrin of Boise, ID and Daniel Passante of Saugerties, NY; great-nieces, Jessica Rice of San Francisco, CA, Shelby Laquitara of Kansas City, KS and Grace Morrin of Boise, ID; special daughters, Christina (Mark) Legott-Battaglini of AZ and Nicole Legott-Jacquay of Fl; special grandchildren, Samantha, James and William Battaglini of AZ and Ethan, Caroline and Aidann Jacquay of FL; several cousins. Beverly was predeceased by her sister, Lena Rice; brothers-in-law, William T. Rice, Peter J. Laquitara and Joseph A. Bertino; nephew, Randall Rice.
