Cecelia "Celia" R. Bonetti

GENEVA- Cecelia "Celia" R. Bonetti, 99, passed away peacefully on Mon. (Dec. 26, 2022), at the Woodside Manor Nursing Home in Rochester. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thurs. (Jan. 5), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will follow in the Funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Celia was born on April 5, 1923, in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Frank and Imaculeta (Amato) Passalacqua. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Zappler, Orthodontist. Celia served as the matriarch of her family, whom she loved and adored very much. She was a devoted member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, where she was Eucharistic Minister for many years. Celia volunteered at Geneva General Hospital and for the Geneva City School District as a "foster grandparent". She was an avid golfer at Seneca Lake Country Club, loved to play Euchre and take walks by the lake.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (Cheryl) Bonetti of Seneca Falls; daughters, Sharlene Soulas of Houston, TX and Carol (Robert) Hachey of Webster; 11 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Celia was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Bonetti; brothers, Tony and John; sisters, Mamie, Mary, Ellen, Violet and Rose.
