RED CREEK- Thomas Nicholas Abraham, 92, passed away peacefully at home on September 6th with his family by his side. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wed. (Sept. 13), at St. Michael’s Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, in Geneva, with the V. Rev. Fr. Gregory Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Thomas was born on March 15, 1931, in Geneva and was the son of the late Philip and Sadie (Burgess) Abraham. He graduated from Geneva High School, where he enjoyed playing basketball. Thomas received a Bachelor's Degree from Buffalo State University and worked as a systems engineer for 34 years at General Electric in Syracuse. It was there in 1958 that he met his future wife of 63 years, Suzanne. Thomas was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed shortwave radio and working on projects at home and at his cottage in the Thousand Islands.
He is survived by his bride of 63 years, Suzanne (Campbell) Abraham of Red Creek; children, Thomas N. Abraham, Jr. of Red Creek, Suzanne M. Abraham of Red Creek and David P. Abraham of Red Creek; younger sister, Rennie H. Abraham of Horseheads; and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was predeceased by his sisters, Lillian Coburn in 1986, Gloria Abraham in 1998 and Catherine Moses in 2020.
