WATERLOO- Steven Franklin Albro, 68, passed away on Thurs. (Oct. 27, 2022), at Geneva General Hospital. In honoring his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tues. (Nov. 15). He will be interred with his beloved wife, Ilene, in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Steve was born on Sept. 27, 1954, in Waterloo and was a son of the late Franklin Edgar and Katheryn Arlene (Palmer) Albro. His employment history began at the Seneca Knitting Mill. Steve then became a truck driver, working for D&L Disposal, then K&D Disposal. In addition to spending time with his family, Steve loved watching the Buffalo Bills, Syracuse Orangemen, NASCAR, dirt racing, helping his Amish friends and volunteering at Beverly Animal Shelter. He was a devoted lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in Waterloo.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Amy) Atwell of Newark; brothers, Franklin Edgar (Malissa) Albro, Jr. of Waterloo, Ron (Jeannie) Albro of KY and Eric (Darlene) Albro of Fla.; sister, Arlene Noble of Fla.; grandchildren, Kassandra Ladd, Rebecca Atwell and Zachary Ladd; several nieces and nephews.
Steve was predeceased by his wife, Ilene Albro and daughter, Katie-Marie Morris.
