GENEVA- Monjha Louellen Prater, 65, passed away peacefully on Tues. (Nov. 15, 2022), at Geneva General Hospital. In honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours and the funeral service will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Oaklawn Cemetery.



Monjha was born on Feb. 2, 1957, in Geneva and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Josephine (Marino) Prater, Jr. She was a graduate of De Sales High School, Class of 1975. Monjha enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.



She is survived by her son, Kevin (Katie) Kenyon of Farmington; brothers, Jonathan (Mary) Prater of Fla., David (Linda) Prater of Geneva, Christopher (Amy) Prater of Williamson and Brian (Sheryl) Prater of Geneva; uncle, Joe Marino of Geneva; Aunt, Sylvia Optchowski of MA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.



In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Matthew Prater.
