Joseph D. Cosentino GENEVA- Joseph D. Cosentino, 77, passed away peacefully on Mon. (Sept. 16, 2013), at Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thurs. (Sept. 19), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Fri. (Sept. 20), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Joe was born on Sept. 23, 1935 in Geneva and was a son of the late Joseph M. and Rose M. (Morabito) Cosentino. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1955. Joe was employed for 32 years at the American Can Company in Geneva and was a member of the International Association of Machinists. He was a hard working 'Restaurateur' who owned and operated Uncle Joe's Pizzeria and Nonna's Trattoria in Geneva. Joe enjoyed his antique car collection, and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, the Wayne Drumlins Antique Car Club and the Buick Car Club of America. He was a third degree Knight of Columbus and a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Joe enjoyed his vegetable gardens and was well known for his meatball recipe. He liked attending his grandchildren's sporting events and traveling. Most of all, he was a family man. Joe loved his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Lou (Marsh) Cosentino of Geneva; sons, William J. (Nancy) Zaso Cosentino of Virginia Beach, VA; John A. Cosentino of Geneva and Louis P. (Jessica) Cosentino of Geneva; daughters, Rosemary (Alan) Smith of Geneva, Susan (William) Rotenberg of Geneva and Karen (Todd) Maher of Geneva; brother, Anthony 'Tony' Cosentino of Geneva; sister, Helen F. Garlick of Geneva; grandchildren, Dominick Joseph Cosentino of Virginia Beach, VA, Michael Anthony Cosentino, John Dominick 'Koopa' Cosentino, Christopher Joseph Cosentino, Emily Jane Smith, Melissa Marlo Smith, Matthew Alan Smith, Jacob Walter Rotenberg, Benjamin Joseph Rotenberg, Connor William Cosentino, Kyle Paul Cosentino, Jenna Rose Cosentino, Sophia Marie Cosentino, Olivia Lauren Cosentino, Molly Rose Maher and Maggie Mae Maher, all of Geneva; 24 nieces and nephews; many, great nieces, great nephews and close friends at home and in Florida. Joe was predeceased by his brother, Salvatore J. 'Sam' Cosentino in 2008 and nephews, Joseph D. Cosentino in 2002, and Mark A. Cosentino in 2012.
