GENEVA- Kevin T. Smith, 48, passed into the Arms of his Lord and Savior on Wed. (Jan. 11, 2023, at home. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Fri. (Jan. 20), at the Faith Community Church, 90 Lewis St. Geneva. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Sat. (Jan. 21), in the church. The interment will be held at 12 p.m. Mon. (Jan. 23), in Glenwood Cemetery. Kevin was born on Aug. 9, 1974, in Chicago and was a son of the late Robert and Gloria Ann (Campbell) Smith. He worked as a truck driver over the years and had many hobbies. Kevin loved the Lord, fishing, collecting electronics, playing the stock market, watching movies, but most importantly, helping people. He will always be remembered for his kindness and neighborly demeanor. He is survived by his wife, Delila Mendoza; children, Kevin Serrano, Feliciana D. Gomez, Alissa M. Serrano, Lydia Alexander, Nefertiri Smith and Van McLaurin; siblings, Lolita and Cassandra, Arthur, Monica and Catherine R.; grandchildren, Dailya and Kevin, Jr., Dailano E., Zendayah M. and Zenova B. Malachit and Michael A.; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by his sisters, Gloria, Mary and Carolyn; brothers, Leroy and Robert.
