SENECA FALLS - William 'Bill' Skinner, 75, passed away on Wed. (Jan. 25, 2023), at home. In honoring his wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family, and a Celebration of Life will be held in his honor, for a future date. William was born on March 5, 1947 in Geneva, NY, and was a son of the late Robert W. and Clara (Mason) Skinner. He was a 1965 graduate of Geneva High School. Bill retired from Goulds Pumps, Inc, after 34 years of service. He started out working in the foundry, and worked his way to Manufacturing Process Engineer in the Methods Department. He spent as much time in the foundry, as he did in his office, planning new ways to utilize parts to enhance future pump models. In his free time, he appreciated listening to music, like 70s rock, and his favorite band, The Beach Boys, who he got to see in the VIP section, just a few years prior to his passing. He also enjoyed classic cars and watching the Barrett Jackson auctions, pencil drawing & sketching (as he was a great artist), fishing, boating and being near the lake. He was always eager to lend a helping hand for his family, friends and neighbors in need. He was an avid animal lover, having many dogs over the years that he loved and cared for, including his friends' dogs and his grand-dogs, whom he often took care of when their parents were away. He would always show up to visit with tennis balls and special treats for his adored furry friends, and they all loved him and were so excited when he'd arrive. Bill was a selfless and generous man, admired for his strength, compassion, sense of humor and wit. He will be dearly missed and always in our hearts. He is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Steven) Sandroni of Seneca Falls and Sara J. Sherman (Zachary) of Syracuse; twin half brother and sister, Jack and Jan; six grandchildren, Ryan Sandroni, Bradley Sandroni, Sydney Sandroni, Tyler Nash, Katie Nash, and Kara Nash; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, William was predeceased by his beloved sister Barbara Murphy.
