Genevieve DeMatties Pane GENEVA - Genevieve DeMatties Pane, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, N.J. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1st, at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2nd, at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Genevieve was born on March 16, 1919 in Indiana, PA and was the daughter of the late John and Lucia (Antidormi) DeMatties. She was employed by the Geneva Forge for many years and later went on to work in the Geneva School District cafeteria. Genevieve was a member of the G.A.I.L. Lodge 2397A, the St. Anthony's Society and St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Geneva. She was well known for her homemade Italian cookies and cookie trays that graced the tables of many special events and family gatherings. She will be sadly missed by her family and her friends. She is survived by her son, Joseph (Lucille) Pane, Jr. of Schenectady; daughter, Deborah (Brian) Mandel of Morristown, NJ; grandchildren, Richard Pane, Matthew and Andrew Mandel; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Stephanie and Richard Pane, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Genevieve was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Pane in 2006, son Richard, brothers Ermen, Peter, Dominick, Ted and Rudy, and sister Olympia.
