Obituary of Ross E. Joslyn

Ross E. Joslyn, Jr. GENEVA- Ross E. Joslyn, Jr., 90, passed away peacefully on Sun. (April 2, 2023), at the Geneva Living Center North. In honoring his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A funeral service will be announced at a later date. Ross was born on Aug. 8, 1932, in Auburn, NY and was a son of the late Ross E. and Doris (Knowlton) Joslyn, Sr. He worked as an electrician at General Electric, in Auburn. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1953, in the Korean War. He was shot down in the 7th mission in a B-29 plane, where he was a tail gunner, and went MIA for two months. Ross was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, former member of the Sons of Italy, where he served as financial secretary and worked in the kitchen and the Elks Lodge. He loved going fishing, camping, dining out, drinking coffee, playing cards, especially Euchre and playing Dominos. Ross especially enjoyed playing games with his “girlfriend”, the computer. He is survived by his children, Kathy and Dawn of LA and Ross “Trey” III of Texas; sister, Sandra of Syracuse; grandchildren, Kelli, Shea, Alexandra, Grey, Elle and Dylan; several great-grandchildren; many loving and devoted nieces and nephews; best friend, John (Jean) Mantzaris. Ross was predeceased by his wives, Loyce Joslyn and Barbara “Pita” A Joslyn; son Ricky; brothers, Richard Thomas Joslyn and Gerald Joslyn; niece, Elaine Waterman
