GENEVA- John Robert Zugec II, 89, passed away peacefully on Sun. (May 21, 2023), at home. Family and friends are invited to the Knights of Columbus from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (May 30), for a celebration of John's life. The family requests to please bring "Zuger-isms", with you. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

John was born on Dec. 10, 1933, in Pittsburgh, PA and was a son of the late John and Mary (Ergovich) Zugec. He worked as an inspector at the Seneca Army Depot. John served his country proudly from 1951 to 1956, in the United States Air Force. His passion in life was boxing. John enjoyed spending time at the gym training fighters and managing many local boxers in the area, in the 1970's. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion, in Geneva.

He is survived by his children, Christine (Jim) Richter of North Rose; son,

John (Tami) Zugec III of Geneva; grandchildren, Cari (Matt) Aufman, Stephen (Jaime) Kenny, Christopher Kenny, Joseph (Maggie) Kenny, Brady, Alyssa and Carson Zugec; great-grandchildren, Dylan Aufman, Mya and Robert Kenny, Nathaniel Kenny, Mason Kenny and Delaney Kenny.

John was predeceased by his wife Teresa (Bruno) Zugec and brother, Joseph (Carol) Zugec.
