GENEVA/NC- Mary L Carnovale, 93, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2023, in North Carolina with her loving family by her side.Friends and family may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, June 15 at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM, Friday June 16th, at St Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mary was born on February 27,1930, in Geneva and was the daughter of the late Charles and Theresa Liberatore. Mary worked at the Shines Theatre, and Geneva General Hospital as a Candy Striper while she attended DeSales High School. After she graduated, she was hired by the Hulse Manufacturing Company on Lewis St in Geneva where she met her husband to be, Joseph Carnovale. Mary was a devoted communicant of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. She was an Auxiliary member of the American Legion Winnik Post 396 and the Sons and Daughters of Italy.

Mary is survived by her daughters Joan (Michael) Hendrickson of Penn Yan and Diane (Robert) Bero of North Carolina, grandchildren Robert (Rosemary Waters), Joseph (Lindsey), Michael (Mary Catherine) and Amie Lynn Bero, Stephanie (Kevin Roloson), and James Hendrickson, great-grandson Bennett and great-granddaughter Owen Louise Bero; brother Carmen Liberatore; sister Frances Pedersen and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph J Carnovale, her daughter Patti Ann Carnovale, her sisters Noreen (Robert) Adair, Cecilia Broderick, Lucille (Eugene) Taras.
