Michelle A. Conant WATERLOO- Michelle A. Conant, 95, passed away on Tues. (Oct. 1, 2013), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. Mon. (Oct. 7), at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Seneca Falls. Michelle owned several beauty shops over her long career as a beautician. She was also a hairdresser on Broadway for stars such as Ethel Merman in "Gypsy" and Andy Griffith in "Destiny Rides Again". She was also known for the elaborate costumes and headdresses that she made for her children in community productions of other musicals, such as "The King and I" and "Brigadoon". In her love for adventure, she obtained her pilots license in her early thirties. One of her children's fondest memories are of Michelle's meatballs and ziti at Sunday dinner and the "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" that she dragged to their home in Cliffside Park , NJ which had about 5 branches left on it by the time it got there. She is survived by her five children, J Michael Conant, Michelle Carr, Melodie Clark, Mark Conant and Marcie Conant, as well as 8 grandchildren : Caroline Arakelian, Julie Conlon, Angela Conant, Christopher Heim, Kathryn Heim, Mark Conant Jr., Raquel Conant and Kelly Lawer as well great-children: Grace Arakelian, John Arakelian and Charlie Conlon. She is also survived by her brother Macy Paradise, her sister, Carmella Gurba and her brother Dominic Paradise.
