Amelia "Millie" J. Mariano

GENEVA-Millie Mariano, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday (Feb. 18, 2024) at Geneva Living Center with her loving family at her side. Friends may call from 4 pm to 7 pm Thursday (February 22) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday (February 23) at St. Frances De Sales Church at 10 am. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum.

Contributions for the family may be made to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange Street, Geneva in Millie's memory.

Millie was born on July 13, 1925 in Geneva and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Perry) Jackella. She was a member of the Rosary Society and Sons and Daughters of Italy. Millie enjoyed cooking and baking. She liked traveling with her sisters to casinos and her most cherished times were spent with her family. Millie loved to dance. She danced with USO and won dance contests.

She is survived by her loving daughters Barbara (John) Newman of Geneva and Donna (Joe) Weise of Geneva; grandchildren JJ (Christine) Newman, Daniel (Dana) Newman, Sara (Darrell) Carey, Michael (Erika) Weise, Jeffrey (Shea) Weise and Kelly (Greg) Kaczowka; great grandchildren Ben and Andrew Newman, Ryan Newman, Addison, Briyanna and Mikayla Carey, Luke Kaczowka and two more on the way; several nieces and nephews.

Millie is predeceased by her husband Daniel Mariano; brother Benjamin "Cy" Jackella; sisters Rene Greco, Margaret Ventura and Edith Calabrese.
