Suzanne was born on Aug. 17, 1941, in Rochester, NY, along with her triplet siblings, the late Sally Swingly Driscoll and William M. Swingly, to the late Dorothy E. (Byrnes) and Richard W. Swingly, Sr. She graduated from Brockport College with a degree in Elementary Education. Sue was a second-grade teacher in the Rochester City School District, until her career was tragically cut short when she suffered a heart attack in 1993, resulting in anoxic encephalopathy. Her care was entrusted to her brother William and long-time friend and companion, Herbert Erbland Klem. While they shared a home, Suzanne and Herbert enjoyed many hikes, golf outings, ski trips, international travel, gardening as well as enjoying the deer herd running through the backyards of their Irondequoit neighborhood. As it became necessary for both to enter assisted living, they moved to Seneca Lake Terrace in Geneva, NY, where they resided together until Herbert passed away in 2017. Suzanne continued to reside at Seneca Lake Terrace until it was recently necessary for her to enter the Geneva Living Center North.

She is survived by her brothers, Richard W. Swingly, Jr. and Garry J. (Penny) Swingly, all of Webster and William M. (Patricia) Swingly of Geneva; brother-in-law William P. Driscoll; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her sister, Sally Driscoll and sister-in-law, Nancy McMaster Swingly.
