Bernice L. Evans
GENEVA- Bernice L. Evans, 92, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wed. (Oct. 16, 2013), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thurs. (Oct. 24), at St. Paul's Full Gospel Baptist Church in Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Bernice was born on Jan. 14, 1921 in New Brockton, AL, and was a daughter of the late Andrew and Melissa (Clintonson) Wells.
She is survived by her daughter, Boncile Parker; sons, Johnny Evans and Billie Ray (Nina) Evans; sisters, Annie Lou McGuire, Laura Lewis, Eva Wells, Mary Dean Johnson and Sarah Nell Pralor; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bernice was predeceased by her daughter, Inell Patterson; son, Melvin Evans; brothers, J.C. Wells and Willie D. Wells.
