GENEVA- Joesph "Skeet" Maurice Johnson III, 51, passed into the Arms of his Lord and Savior on Wed. (March 6, 2024), at Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Fri. (March 15), at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Clark St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. in the church. The burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Skeet was born on July 2, 1972, in Geneva and was a son of the late Joseph and Nadine (Sapp) Johnson, Jr. He was well known in the community and worked as a barber at Supreme Cuts, in Geneva. Joseph Johnson, Jr. will always be remembered as an amazing man. He will be missed in so many ways. He leaves behind his soulmate, Melissa spearman; 3 daughters, Shaniquia, taniquia,and shalyah; son, dy'quise; 2 step sons, Desmond, and Dental; 5 grandchildren, Jahmire, Aniyah, Major, Ta'hirah, Ty, Ceon, Azarius, and Gia. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Nadine Sapp and Joseph Johnson; grandparents, Phillip and Mary Sapp, Joesph and Luellen Johnson: sister, Roslyn Johnson, and nephew, Tevaughn Carver.
