GENEVA- Julie Jensen, 79, passed away peacefully on Mon. (March 18, 2024). A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. Fri. (March 22), in Lakeview Cemetery, in Penn Yan.



She was born in Penn Yan in 1944 to Willard & Dorothy Slater. Julie attended Penn Yan Academy graduating in 1962, before attending Rochester Business Institute in 1963. Julie retired from the housing authority in Geneva. Julie also helped out her sister Pat with a store at the Windmill.



Julie was preceded in death by previous spouses Kenneth Livermore, Richard Jensen and life-long partner Martin D. Lozada, parents Willard and Dorothy Slater and sister Patricia Scott.



In her free time Julie enjoyed art specifically Thomas Kinkade, shopping on QVC, completing puzzles, spending time at the windmill as well as spending time with her family and friends. Although Julie did not have children of her own, she took great pride in caring and loving her life-long partner Martin's children and grandchildren. She attended countless sporting events and enjoyed bringing extended family over to celebrate Christmas every year.



Julie is survived by her sister Jean Kelsey and her family, as well as the Lozada Family.


Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
